TSC Member attends signing ceremony of contracts for 500 water stations in Sudan 

Khartoum, March 31 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Dr. Abdul-Baqi Abdul-GadIr Al-Zubair attended at the Grand Holiday Villa Hotel here today ceremony of signing contracts for implementation of 500 solar-powered groundwater stations in the various states of Sudan, financed by the Saudi Fund for Development.

The occasion was attended by Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Eng. Dawal-Bait Abdul-Rahman Mansour, Minister of Federal Government Buthaina Dinar and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Director of Dams Implementation Unit Eng. Mohamed Nur-Eddin said that this strategic project is the starting point for supplying all states of the country with drinking water, expressing thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his Crown Prince and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their keenness on supporting the Sudanese people.

For his part, the Saudi Ambassador, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, affirmed keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on sustainability of peace and stability in Sudan, pointing to the distinguished relations between Khartoum and Riyadh, indicating that the signing of these contracts reflects the advanced level of partnership between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Sudan.
