TSC Member Discusses Health Situation in the Country 

Khartoum, Nov.29(SUNA)- Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC) Chairman of the High Committee for Health Emergencies Dr. Abdul-Baqi Abdul-Qadir Al-Zubair discussed the current health situation in the country and reviewed the programs and performance of the Federal Health  Ministry , the latest developments and the epidemiological situation of the Covid-19

This came when he met at his office today the Acting Undersecretary  of  the Federal Health Ministry , Dr Osman Mohamed Abdul Rahman  in the presence of the Director of the Health care Department , Dr Khalil Mohamed Ibrahim.

Dr. Abdel-Baqi began his speech with mercy on the martyrs of the homeland and the martyrs of the health sector in particular, wishing a speedy recovery for the sick and the  injured.

The TSC member has directed the Federal Health Ministry to be fully prepared to confront any health emergency as a result of the growing and transformation of the coronavirus that the country is going through.

He urged  the Ministry  not to neglect other emergencies and to prepare for the rainfall  season, stressing the need to review the readiness of hospitals and attention to medical and health cadres, “Our White Army” as he said.

Abdel-Baqi praised the effective  role of the Federal Health Ministry  in combating the Coronavirus  pandemic, calling for the need to work with all parties to ensure the achievement of sustainable development goals.

He pointed out that the Transitional Sovereign Council would  work with the executive side by side to develop health services in the country, announcing his unlimited support to the Federal Health Ministry  in its  efforts to solve all problems that impede its work

For his part, the Acting  Undersecretary of the Federal Health Ministry, Dr. Osman Mohamed Abdul Rahman, affirmed that the ambitions are great for the development of the health sector, pointing to the spread of the coronavirus in the country  and   suspension of support provided by some  donors to confront the Coronavirus  pandemic and other epidemics.

He urged the donors to resume their  support  and  thanked  those parties which have not suspended their activities.

Warning of the increasing number of coronavirus  infections, Dr  Osman  called on citizens to adhere to health precautions and receive vaccine doses because they are the first line of defense to fight the pandemic.
