Khartoum, Jan 20 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Al-Hadi Idriss met, Today, at his house, in Kafouri superb, the US delegation, currently on a visit to the country, headed by the US Assistant Foreign Secretary of State, Molly Phee, the US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, the US Charge d’ Affaires and the Political Official at the US embassy in Khartoum.
The TSC Member said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the UN Initiative to end the current political crisis in Sudan which aims at supporting stability and the democratic transition, referring that the US delegation affirmed its country’s support to the initiative to overcome the current crisis in the country.
Dr. Idriss described the meeting which also reviewed Juba Peace Agreement and the recent incidents in Al-Fasher , as serious and clear, adding that a joint forces will be formed to maintain security and stability in Darfur.
He called on the US delegation to support peace process and realization of democracy and stability.
