Khartoum, Mar 31(SUNA) – The President and members of the Transitional Sovereignty eulogized, today the poet, writer and play write Al-Sir Ahmed Gaddour who passed away, in Cairo after long illness.
When the Sovereignty Council mourns him, it mourns for the Sudanese people, a pioneer of literature and art, and an outstanding poet who enriched the Sudanese artistic scene with beautiful melodies and timeless songs.
The late Gaddour was one of the pioneers of the National Theatre, where he performed many plays based on the Sudanese culture.
