Kassala, Sept. 23 (SUNA)- Acting Wali (Governor) of Kassala State Eltayed Mohamed Al-Shiekh inaugurated yesterday the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross-Branch of Eastern Sudan.
The Wali welcomed the opening of the ICRC office in Kassala State, indicating that the state had received refugees from neighboring countries, who shared services with local communities.
He pointed out that the government of the state would support the programs of the ICRC and other organizations for the sake of humanity and preserving the dignity of humans.
ICRC head of delegation in Sudan Pascal Cuttat, on his part, affirmed support of the Committee to the various program of the state.
